Those who know me know I’m a big fan of the Dogs’ Homes of Tasmania and a committed volunteer. Every year we have our “Button Day” and I stand on a street corner in Hobart City for the day shaking a tin to raise funds for them. This year is different. I’m away, and they’ve moved much of the campaign online, with fewer volunteers actually on the ground. This year it’s called the Winter Appeal and I’m doing my bit to help them raise funds.
This winter they urgently need funds for kennel repairs at their Burnie, Devonport, Launceston and Hobart Homes. As a dog lover, I want to help keep the dogs in their care healthy and happy until they find their forever homes.
