Axel

Axel rose to the occasion when it was time to take his pictures — this guy is a natural poseur.

This friendly fellow was a council surrender and, since councils have different paperwork to us, we don’t have the usual surrender information for him. He’s a Kelpie who weighs 24kg and will be one year old in April.

“Axel is full of beans,” staff say. “He will need some ongoing basic training as well as socialisation with other dogs so we would recommend a single dog home to help him settle into his new routine.”

A beginner training course would be a great way for Axel to knock those training and socialisation goals out of the park. As a working dog breed, he will need plenty of exercise and mental stimulation for his agile body and mind.

• While our Homes are open, not every dog available for adoption will be onsite and available in person. You will notice some dogs are listed as ‘foster care’. This means that they are offsite with one of our amazing foster carers. If you are interested in this dog, please contact the Home directly to discuss suitability and a possible meet.
