Bella

Bella

Bella is Italian for beautiful, and whoever named our Bella got it in one.

This lively little lass is a Kelpie x. We’re told she knows sit, drop, lie down and wait, shakes paws, comes when called, and is toilet trained.

This sweet girl has been learning lots while in our care. While she can be excitable meeting new people, she is understanding that cuddles are a great option too. Bella happily keeps herself occupied in the yard with her favourite tug toy and mental enrichment from staff and volunteers.

“Bella had a day out with a foster carer recently,” staff say. “They said Bella travelled well in the car, sat for treats and loved playing fetch. She rolls over onto her side when she wants tummy scratches.”

She is best suited to a home with no kids under 12 and needs to be the only pet in the house while she tackles her excitement levels.

Visiting the Launceston Home?

Due to recent storm damage and ongoing repairs at our Launceston Dogs’ Home, we are currently operating at a reduced capacity. At this time, all our dogs are either in foster care or transitioning into foster care. As a result, we have temporarily closed our online booking system to avoid any disappointment. We are now operating by appointment only. To meet a dog, you must book an appointment over the phone, as the dog will likely need to be brought to our Home for the meeting.

Please note:
• Rental agreements allowing dogs will be required for adoption into rental properties.
• Before adopting a dog, all members of your household must attend a meet and greet with the dog (including small children and existing dogs).
• Whilst the website is live and updates frequently, there is a chance that when you arrive a dog may already have been adopted by some-one else. Sorry, but we cannot put dogs on hold over the phone. You need to meet them first so that we can ensure a suitable match.
• While our Homes are open, not every dog available for adoption will be onsite and available in person. You will notice some dogs are listed as ‘foster care’. This means that they are offsite with one of our amazing foster carers. If you are interested in this dog, please contact the Home directly to discuss suitability and a possible meet.
