Handsome young Rosco just oozes personality, even through a computer screen.

He’s a Staffy-Boxer x who weighs 22kg and will be one year old on 16 April. We’re told he knows sit, but that he’s also in need of a refresher obedience course. That would also be a neat way for him to bond with his new family.

“Rosco has previously lived with dogs of various sizes, although he can be a little nervous when meeting new dogs,” staff say. Gentle introductions and thoughtful matchmaking will be the key here. “Rosco is great with people — he loves human interaction, and pats and cuddles.”

He enjoys going for a splash at the beach. He can let his enthusiasm run away with him and be a bit strong on a lead: the aforementioned training Rosco needs should help address this.

• While our Homes are open, not every dog available for adoption will be onsite and available in person. You will notice some dogs are listed as ‘foster care’.
