Rudy

Rudy

Rudy might be getting on in years but he still looks pretty good to us.

He’s a Greyhound who will be 10 years old in May and weighs 39kg. We don’t have much more information on this boy and aren’t really sure where he is with his training, including toilet training.

We do know he likes to lie on his back with his legs akimbo — a classic and hilarious Greyhound pose known as roaching (as if in imitation of a dead cockroach). He also enjoys playing with squeaky toys.

As far as exercise goes, Rudy is low maintenance as he only needs a gentle stroll at his age. He’s recently had teeth removed and the rest of the teeth have had a polish, so that cost has been covered. He has not yet passed his muzzling assessment so will need to wear one in public.

Quiet type: Prefers a peaceful environment, content with solitude, not seeking constant interaction.

Please note:
• Rental agreements allowing dogs will be required for adoption into rental properties.
• Before adopting a dog, all members of your household must attend a meet and greet with the dog (including small children and existing dogs).
• Whilst the website is live and updates frequently, there is a chance that when you arrive a dog may already have been adopted by some-one else. Sorry, but we cannot put dogs on hold over the phone. You need to meet them first so that we can ensure a suitable match.
• While our Homes are open, not every dog available for adoption will be onsite and available in person. You will notice some dogs are listed as ‘foster care’. This means that they are offsite with one of our amazing foster carers. If you are interested in this dog, please contact the Home directly to discuss suitability and a possible meet.
