Our adoption fee for each dog doesn’t cover the actual cost of operating, desexing, vaccinating, microchipping and providing a specialised diet to each dog.

All staff and volunteers at the Dogs’ Homes sincerely care about making a difference for dogs in need. Their compassion is shared with people like you whose generosity will help us to continue to care for and provide high-quality food to the dogs who need it.
The Dogs’ Homes have been supporting the community for 74 years in Hobart, Devonport, Launceston and Burnie.
We look after around 3000 dogs every year and there is no limit placed on dogs waiting to be adopted; they simply stay with us, until the future fur-ever family or person comes along.
