Jess

Jess

Jess is a mysterious girl whose past is shrouded in mystery. But we do know she greets people with her “crazy bum wiggles”, as staff say.

“Her worst enemy is a tyre toy after getting her head stuck in one!” they say. “She suffered no harm at all but it was very funny.” Jess doesn’t seem to have had any training but she’s started to learn sit and work on her manners. “Volunteers have said she walks well on the lead and enjoys exploring.”

As a working dog breed, Jess is a high-energy girl who will benefit from further training. She will need plenty of exercise and intellectual stimulation for her agile body and equally agile mind. She’s not suitable for a home with children under 15 years of age, and should not be given access to livestock. She also needs to be the only dog in her new home.

Please ensure the below information, including the ‘please note’ section, is read in full if you are interested in viewing, meeting or adopting Jess.

Energetic dynamo: Vibrant and spirited, exuberant energy levels, adventure seeking, thrives on activity and excitement.

If you are interested in a dog, please make a booking to visit the Home where that dog is located. We can’t guarantee that a particular dog will still be available at the time of your visit, as adoptions occur throughout the day. Our team updates the website as quickly as possible.

Your booking is simply an allocated time to view all of the dogs, and it allows us to ensure staff are available should you wish to have a meet and greet with a particular dog.

Please remember that if you are interested in adopting on the day, all household members — including any existing dogs — must attend the appointment. It’s vital that the dog meets everyone and gets along with them, and that the whole household is ready to welcome a new family member.

Please note:
• Rental agreements allowing dogs will be required for adoption into rental properties.
• Before adopting a dog, all members of your household must attend a meet and greet with the dog (including small children and existing dogs).
• Whilst the website is live and updates frequently, there is a chance that when you arrive a dog may already have been adopted by some-one else. Sorry, but we cannot put dogs on hold over the phone. You need to meet them first so that we can ensure a suitable match.
• While our Homes are open, not every dog available for adoption will be onsite and available in person. You will notice some dogs are listed as ‘foster care’. This means that they are offsite with one of our amazing foster carers. If you are interested in this dog, please contact the Home directly to discuss suitability and a possible meet.
