He’s a German Shepherd-Labrador x who hasn’t had much experience of the wider world. “He will need an experienced owner who understands the Shepherd breed and has the time to expose him to different things,” staff say. Patience and TLC will be key here. “Like a lot of Shepherds, he can be vocal — he loves to talk to his humans and will talk your ear off if you converse with him.”

He’s been in foster care where he was initially a bit unsure about it all. But what a difference a few days can make! “He is now more confident, happy and relaxed, and is a gorgeous boy,” his carer says. “He will make a perfect companion as he has a lot of love to give and the right person will give him all the love he deserves.” Has someone been chopping onions nearby?

“Bentlee is still young and does get excited meeting new people,” staff say. “He hasn’t quiet masted the art of keeping his paws on the ground yet, so he won’t be suitable with children under 16.” A beginner obedience course would be ideal for him.

If you are interested in a dog, please make a booking to visit the Home where that dog is located. We can’t guarantee that a particular dog will still be available at the time of your visit, as adoptions occur throughout the day. Our team updates the website as quickly as possible.

Your booking is simply an allocated time to view all of the dogs, and it allows us to ensure staff are available should you wish to have a meet and greet with a particular dog.

Please remember that if you are interested in adopting on the day, all household members — including any existing dogs — must attend the appointment. It’s vital that the dog meets everyone and gets along with them, and that the whole household is ready to welcome a new family member.

Please note:
• Rental agreements allowing dogs will be required for adoption into rental properties.
• Before adopting a dog, all members of your household must attend a meet and greet with the dog (including small children and existing dogs).
• Whilst the website is live and updates frequently, there is a chance that when you arrive a dog may already have been adopted by some-one else. Sorry, but we cannot put dogs on hold over the phone. You need to meet them first so that we can ensure a suitable match.
• While our Homes are open, not every dog available for adoption will be onsite and available in person. You will notice some dogs are listed as ‘foster care’. This means that they are offsite with one of our amazing foster carers. If you are interested in this dog, please contact the Home directly to discuss suitability and a possible meet.
