Pretty boy Pablo has a secret that can’t really be seen in any of the photos in his gallery: he broke his back right leg so badly that it had to come off. But it’s important to remember that dogs don’t carry a psychic burden over such things the way us frail humans do.

He’s a Staffy-Bulldog x who’s in foster care. “He is a very gentle boy and will make a great family pet,” his carer says. “He is a snuggle bug and loves to be close to you. He also enjoys being outside with you.”

Pabs doesn’t let his “disability” hold him back. “He is a sweetie and just wants to snuggle in,” staff say. “He loves to get the zoomies and is a very happy-go-lucky pup. He’s also happy to sit with you calmly. He is now toilet trained and used to going through a dog door with the flap propped open.” Boyfriend has special needs, after all.

As Pablo is currently staying with a foster carer, they are not located on site and will not be present if you visit. This includes if you book a visit or meeting via our online booking system. Pablo will only be available to view or meet when prior arranged with our team over the phone.

Please note:
• Rental agreements allowing dogs will be required for adoption into rental properties.
• Before adopting a dog, all members of your household must attend a meet and greet with the dog (including small children and existing dogs).
• Whilst the website is live and updates frequently, there is a chance that when you arrive a dog may already have been adopted by some-one else. Sorry, but we cannot put dogs on hold over the phone. You need to meet them first so that we can ensure a suitable match.
• While our Homes are open, not every dog available for adoption will be onsite and available in person. You will notice some dogs are listed as ‘foster care’. This means that they are offsite with one of our amazing foster carers. If you are interested in this dog, please contact the Home directly to discuss suitability and a possible meet.
