Could Ace and his loveable face race to a place in your embrace?
“Ace is a sweet, gentle puppy who loves to follow his people around,” staff say. “At five months old and nearly 20kg already, we think he will grow to a large size. He likes playing with toys and stealing your seat when you get up.” Go back many thousands of years and you’d probably find dogs stealing the warm spots of cave people when they get up to put another log on the fire.
“He has spent some time in foster care with another dog and enjoyed playing together. He can be a little shy at first but warms up quickly. He likes to dip his paws in the pool.” Awww, Ace! We always strongly recommend puppy preschool for our youngsters, and while Ace is probably too “old” for puppy classes, a beginner obedience course would serve him just as well.

Does your lifestyle and personality match Ace?
If you are interested in a dog, please make a booking to visit the Home where that dog is located. We can’t guarantee that a particular dog will still be available at the time of your visit, as adoptions occur throughout the day. Our team updates the website as quickly as possible.
Your booking is simply an allocated time to view all of the dogs, and it allows us to ensure staff are available should you wish to have a meet and greet with a particular dog.
Please remember that if you are interested in adopting on the day, all household members — including any existing dogs — must attend the appointment. It’s vital that the dog meets everyone and gets along with them, and that the whole household is ready to welcome a new family member.
Please note:
• Rental agreements allowing dogs will be required for adoption into rental properties.
• Before adopting a dog, all members of your household must attend a meet and greet with the dog (including small children and existing dogs).
• Whilst the website is live and updates frequently, there is a chance that when you arrive a dog may already have been adopted by some-one else. Sorry, but we cannot put dogs on hold over the phone. You need to meet them first so that we can ensure a suitable match.
• While our Homes are open, not every dog available for adoption will be onsite and available in person. You will notice some dogs are listed as ‘foster care’. This means that they are offsite with one of our amazing foster carers. If you are interested in this dog, please contact the Home directly to discuss suitability and a possible meet.
