- Location: Hobart Dogs' Home

Just think: if you adopt Panda and he does some crazed zoomies in your backyard, you could say the place is “Panda-monium”! Boom-tish, here all week folks.
“Panda has a bounce around in the yard and a zoom then is ready to find a sunny spot to snooze in,” staff say. Classic Greyhound stuff. “His fun sleeping position is ‘legs in the air’.” This too is classic Greyhound stuff. His other favourite things are having a splash in some water and scoffing a Schmacko.
Panda has been friendly and respectful when greeting dogs at while in our care. He has his Dogs’ Homes orange collar which signifies that he has passed his unmuzzling test and is good to go out and about without one. However, he’s not suitable for a home with cats or other small animals.
Please ensure the below information, including the ‘please note’ section, is read in full if you are interested in viewing, meeting or adopting Panda.

Does your lifestyle and personality match Panda?
If you are interested in a dog, please make a booking to visit the Home where that dog is located. We can’t guarantee that a particular dog will still be available at the time of your visit, as adoptions occur throughout the day. Our team updates the website as quickly as possible.
Your booking is simply an allocated time to view all of the dogs, and it allows us to ensure staff are available should you wish to have a meet and greet with a particular dog.
Please remember that if you are interested in adopting on the day, all household members — including any existing dogs — must attend the appointment. It’s vital that the dog meets everyone and gets along with them, and that the whole household is ready to welcome a new family member.
Please note:
• Rental agreements allowing dogs will be required for adoption into rental properties.
• Before adopting a dog, all members of your household must attend a meet and greet with the dog (including small children and existing dogs).
• Whilst the website is live and updates frequently, there is a chance that when you arrive a dog may already have been adopted by some-one else. Sorry, but we cannot put dogs on hold over the phone. You need to meet them first so that we can ensure a suitable match.
• While our Homes are open, not every dog available for adoption will be onsite and available in person. You will notice some dogs are listed as ‘foster care’. This means that they are offsite with one of our amazing foster carers. If you are interested in this dog, please contact the Home directly to discuss suitability and a possible meet.
