Introducing Chevy, a 2 year old Bull Arab weighing in at 37.5 kg. He's a fun fellow who loves life and will be too bouncy for small/young children. We can't tell you if he'll chase your cat or chickens, but he's a lovely dog looking for a happy, loving and active home where he can be included in day to day life. Chevy's enthusiasm for life extends to playing with his "Home Alone" toy in our yards and learning new skillz with our team, including how to sit and drop when asked, and keep all 4 paws on the floor when greeting new people. With a continuation of this positive training, Chevy will grow to be a model canine citizen and terrific family member.

If you are interested in meeting Chevy please use the link in this post to submit an Expression of Interest. Include as much detail as you can about the life you could provide him. Staff will contact those suitable to chat and arrange an appointment.
Eleven month old Aubrey needs a loving, experienced home. He's a Springer Spaniel x Hound , a little taller than he looks in this photo and weighs in at 19 kilos.

Aubrey is a bright, happy, boy. He loves to play with doggie mates, and loves people. He's clever and loves training for treats. He's also housetrained, knows sit and drop and has a pretty fair (but not perfect, he's a hound after all!) recall.

There's an awful lot to love about this dog. The reason this boy needs an experienced home is that if he gets overexcited, or if he's in a situation that makes him anxious, Aubrey can get mouthy and nippy. He wont suit a home with children because of this.

Aubrey would like a home where he can be active, and spend plenty of time doing things with his humans. Aubrey is not cat-friendly.

If you are interested in meeting Aubrey please submit an Expression of Interest. Include as much detail as you can about the life you can provide him and your experience with dogs.
A staff member will be in touch with those suitable to arrange an appointment.
Introducing Layla, a mixed breed dog, 17.5 kg and around 4.5 years old. Layla is housetrained, will sit, lay down and shake paws when asked, and is a friendly, happy, and eager to please pooch.
She loves trips to the beach in the car, and playing with balls, chew toys and tug-o-war. She is a very well behaved girl when indoors.
Layla is an active and playful dog, very affectionate, and she enjoys plenty of cuddles from her favourite humans. She is shy and nervous around other dogs so may suit a single dog home, or one with a quieter, calm doggie pal. She won't suit a home with cats or access to other small animals, and will need good fencing to keep her safely at home. Layla would do best in a home where she has human company for much of the day. She'll make a wonderful best buddy. ❤️❤️

To meet Miss Layla, please use the link below to complete an Expression of Interest (Layla is in our Foster Care Program). Choose her name from the drop down list and give us plenty of detail about yourself and your family and if staff think your home may suit her, they'll call you to set up a meeting.
Handsome fellow Dash is a Staffy X around 18 months old and a medium sized solid dog at 29kg.
Dash is an active, bouncy boy in need of some humans to love. Sweet and affectionate, he's looking for a home where he's given time to settle, and to gain trust and confidence in his new environment. He'd love to be part of a family where they have plenty of time and love to devote to him.

Dash is doing so well in our Foster Care Program where his housetraining is almost complete, and where he has proved to be a quick learner who is so eager to please, and where his carer has described him as a lovely natured, affectionate and happy boy. ❤️❤️

He may enjoy a home where he has a female doggie pal or a quieter male. Dash loves playing with his toys and is thrilled when you let him win at tug-o-war 😉.

Delightful Dash is in our foster care program, so if you'd like to meet him and see if he's a good match for you and your family, please use the link below to complete an Expression of Interest (choose his name from the drop down list). If staff from our Launceston Home think you may be suitable, they'll call you to set up a meeting.
Update: We now have enough expressions of interest for Hux 🐾💙
Meet Hux, a 7 year old chihuahua x weighing 5.4kg.
Hux has a lot to offer, he is good with kids and lives happily with dogs in his foster home. He loves to play fetch and comes when called, he is a loyal and loving little dog. We do know hux likes to chase chickens, so may not get along with other small animals. He is gentle around kids, and loves his toys.
Due to ongoing health issues Hux is going to need an extra special family to look after him. Hux is on medication that he will need twice a day for the rest of his life and regular vet checks to monitor his thyroid. Please make sure you are ready for this commitment before applying.
To put in an expression of interest for Hux, please follow the link below, choosing his name from the list and fill out as much information as possible. Please note Hux is in foster care and wont be at the home.
Beautiful Jewel is a 2 year old Mastiff X who weighs in at 31.5kg. We don't know a lot about Jewel but she's a very friendly and cuddly girl. She's only young so she's still a bit excitable, and a bit of a goofball, so she'll keep you laughing every day.
Jewel is looking for some happy and adventurous humans who will allow her inside with them, take her out in the big wide world, and just enjoy her company. She loves her walks with our volunteers and a game with the toys in our yards.

Jewel is in foster care in the Devonport area. To meet her, complete an Expression of Interest form telling us about the home you can offer her and staff will ring you to arrange a meeting.
***UPDATE: We have enough applications for Lucy and have closed now thanks.***

Sweet girl Lucy is a 6 year old Labrador. She's on the smallish size for a lab, or will be once she loses lots of weight and is back to her slim and healthy self.
Miss Lucy has previously lived with another dog and older children. She's sadly been an "outside" dog, but is now looking for a home where she spends more time with her humans and that includes indoors too. She will sit, lay down and wait when asked.
She loves to swim, and enjoys a walk (will do even more so with the weight loss). Lucy is a friendly playful girl who loves human interaction, and is generally friendly around other dogs. She won't suit a home with small animals and that includes cats, chickens rabbits etc. She loves tug-o-war and a good belly rub ❤️❤️
