Expressions of Interest

These dogs pictured here are available for adoption by Expression of Interest (EOI) only.ย These dogs are not available for viewing or meet and greets in our Adoption area without the submission of an EOI.

To place an EOI, please click on the link at the bottom of the page. Staff will review your application and make contact with you to arrange a meeting with the dog if they believe you might be a good fit.

Please note:

  • we can only accept EOIs under the correct dogs name. Please don’t select another dog’s name in the drop down menu.
  • if you cannot see a dog’s name in the list, it’s because we have hit the max number of EOIs that we are able to accept for that dogย  and we unable to take any further.
  • due to the number of EOIs that we receive, we may not be able to respond to unsuccessful applicants.
  • we understand you may want to increase your chances of being selected as a new fur parent, but contacting us to reiterate information in your application only takes us away from our doggie duties and does not increase your chances.

Thank you for your understanding.

๐Ÿพ Alfie is available via online expressions of interest ๐Ÿพ

Alfie may be a big fella at 38kg, but this seven-year-old Rottweiler-Staffy x is a gentle soul that loves human company. In Alfie's world, belly rubs reign supreme, and he'll reward you with his trademark wiggly bum dance for every bit of love and attention you can give him.

Alfie has an affectionate and friendly demeanour. He walks beautifully on a lead and if you stop walking he will either lean into you or roll on his back gently asking for pats. He may be a little shy around other dogs, but he's always polite in his interactions.

Alfie will benefit from slow and steady socialisation with other dogs, and cats are not his cup of tea. He’s got a lot of love to give and is on the lookout for a patient owner who can guide him along the path to canine companionship. He's not suited to a home with cats or other small animals.

Introducing Foster, the athletic and adventurous Staffy-Coolie x that came into our care as a stray. At six months old, Foster's past remains a mystery. But one thing's for certain - he's a friendly and affectionate boy who absolutely adores cuddles.

This sporty boy has lots of energy to burn and will need a secure and sturdy fence to keep him safe. Although he's not yet familiar with basic commands, Foster is a quick learner, and with some patient obedience training, he's sure to excel.

Taking him out for walks is a breeze, and his love for exploration and playtime will keep you on your toes.

At 17.6kg, Foster is a well-built boy and would make the ideal exercise buddy. If you're an active individual or family with a love for hiking, running or adventure, Foster might just be your paw-fect match!

Ruby is more precious than a diamond with her sweet face that’s just so appealing.

She’s a Collie x who is seven months old and weighs 19.5kg. We are told she knows sit, shake and lie down, and is toilet trained (she was let out regularly so may not know what a doggy door is for). She’s at a great age to continue her education.

“Ruby is an active girl who loves to run,” we’ve been told. She likes a game of fetch. She doesn’t have much experience with walking on a lead and will “put the brakes on” if she feels the need for less speed. No Top Gun here.

She hasn’t lived with children in the past but did have some young visitors from time to time. She hasn’t met many other dogs but did play with a Staffy friend now and then.

Ruby has had a bit of a sheltered life as a domestic goddess who spent a lot of time at home. She may need gentle introductions to new experiences, like going for strolls, meeting people, and mixing with other dogs.

๐Ÿพ Young, active girl
๐Ÿพ Needs to learn leads
๐Ÿพ … and life experience
๐Ÿพ Some training

Axel hasn’t tiptoed through the tulips for his photo shoot — he dallied in the daffodils instead.

This “big, lovely, cuddly boy” is a Staffy x aged between three and four years old and weighing 33.6kg. He loves to play fetch, zoom about, frolic with his toys and sunbathe. He probably needs a rest after all that exercise. We’re told he’s “such a good boy”.

Axel sits and waits when told and is toilet trained, but doesn’t seem to have had much training apart from that. An obedience refresher would be a great way for him to bond with his new family.

He’s very social with people and has respectful manners and a love of attention. Unfortunately his social skills around dogs aren’t great. He’s not good at reading their body language and would be best off in a home where he’s the solo dog.

๐Ÿพ Cuddly boy
๐Ÿพ Big fellow

๐Ÿพ Loves people

Do you love the tale of two not-so-scary monsters and one adorable little girl? Then you might also love Mike, Sully and Boo! Congratulations to staff in our Launceston Home for their naming skills.

We think these pups are mostly Labrador-Border Collie crosses who are eight weeks old. Mike currently weighs 3.3kg, Sully 3.4kg, and Boo 2.7kg. It’s fairly safe to say they will grow to be medium-to-large sized dogs.

Getting these kids into “Monster Boot Camp” and learning some basic training now will build a good foundation for any future obedience work. They will also need socialisation with people and other dogs, along with plenty of experience of the world and life’s rich pageant. This will help them grow up to be polite and well-adjusted adults.

๐Ÿพ Lifetime’s love …
๐Ÿพ And responsibility
๐Ÿพ Need training …
๐Ÿพ And socialisation
