Charming Chassie is a very happy-looking chappy! But the truth is this Mastiff-Staffy x is a little shy as he hasn’t had much experience of the big, wide world so everything is new to him.

“He can be a bit nervous initially when meeting new people but warms up with a bit of encouragement,” staff say. “He loves toys and attention.” Don’t we all?

“He is very strong and boisterous so would not suit a young family. Chassie is learning some ‘big boy’ manners and his new owner will need to continue this training. He is toilet trained and will scratch at the door to go out.” Sounds like a beginner obedience course will be the way to go.

Chassie has met other dogs in our care and seems to prefer a calmer canine companion.

If you are interested in a dog, please make a booking to visit the Home where that dog is located. We can’t guarantee that a particular dog will still be available at the time of your visit, as adoptions occur throughout the day. Our team updates the website as quickly as possible.

Your booking is simply an allocated time to view all of the dogs, and it allows us to ensure staff are available should you wish to have a meet and greet with a particular dog.

Please remember that if you are interested in adopting on the day, all household members — including any existing dogs — must attend the appointment. It’s vital that the dog meets everyone and gets along with them, and that the whole household is ready to welcome a new family member.

Please note:
• Rental agreements allowing dogs will be required for adoption into rental properties.
• Before adopting a dog, all members of your household must attend a meet and greet with the dog (including small children and existing dogs).
• Whilst the website is live and updates frequently, there is a chance that when you arrive a dog may already have been adopted by some-one else. Sorry, but we cannot put dogs on hold over the phone. You need to meet them first so that we can ensure a suitable match.
• While our Homes are open, not every dog available for adoption will be onsite and available in person. You will notice some dogs are listed as ‘foster care’. This means that they are offsite with one of our amazing foster carers. If you are interested in this dog, please contact the Home directly to discuss suitability and a possible meet.
