Hash Brown

Please note that most dogs currently at our Launceston Home are on hold and not available for adoption due to several dogs being treated on site for kennel cough. To help reduce the spread, we are limiting movement through the kennels and adoption viewings are not available for dogs on hold. As a result, there may be limited or no bookings available via our booking system.

If you are interested in adopting one of these dogs, please contact the Home to discuss and register an expression of interest. We will contact you once the dog becomes available for adoption. 🐾

Hash Brown

A good hash brown should be crisp on the outside and filled with soft, potatoey, slightly sweet goodness on the inside. Our Hash Brown certainly fits the “sweet goodness” part of our description, and far from slightly.

Dear little Hashie was a stray. “He is a very cuddly boy who knows how to sit and is getting very good with his toilet training,” staff say. “He is young and like all pups he will need a family committed to training and snuggle time. He likes playing with other dogs and most things he can fit into his mouth. He enjoys going for short walks and paddling in his pool on warm days.”

We always strongly recommend puppy preschool for all our youngsters. If the Hash House Harrier is too “old” for your local puppy class, a beginner obedience course would do just as well.

Please ensure the below information, including the ‘please note’ section, is read in full if you are interested in viewing, meeting or adopting Hash Brown.

If you are interested in a dog, please make a booking to visit the Home where that dog is located. We can’t guarantee that a particular dog will still be available at the time of your visit, as adoptions occur throughout the day. Our team updates the website as quickly as possible.

Your booking is simply an allocated time to view all of the dogs, and it allows us to ensure staff are available should you wish to have a meet and greet with a particular dog.

Please remember that if you are interested in adopting on the day, all household members — including any existing dogs — must attend the appointment. It’s vital that the dog meets everyone and gets along with them, and that the whole household is ready to welcome a new family member.

Please note:
• Rental agreements allowing dogs will be required for adoption into rental properties.
• Before adopting a dog, all members of your household must attend a meet and greet with the dog (including small children and existing dogs).
• Whilst the website is live and updates frequently, there is a chance that when you arrive a dog may already have been adopted by some-one else. Sorry, but we cannot put dogs on hold over the phone. You need to meet them first so that we can ensure a suitable match.
• While our Homes are open, not every dog available for adoption will be onsite and available in person. You will notice some dogs are listed as ‘foster care’. This means that they are offsite with one of our amazing foster carers. If you are interested in this dog, please contact the Home directly to discuss suitability and a possible meet.
