Polly

Polly

Please note: Polly is currently spending time in foster care which means that they will not be present when visiting your local Dogs’ Home.

Pretty Polly wants a cracker family to grow up in. Miss Polly’s mum is a Husky and her dad, a German Shepherd — which explains her fetchingly floofy coat.

Her foster carer reports she’s been getting great socialisation in care: “She’s good at playing with other dogs and listening to cues from them,” they say. “Polly is super clever. She’s happy to entertain herself and loves her toys. She’s started to get her voice and can be vocal in the car.” Girlfriend just enjoys a spot of Carpool Karaoke (minus James Corden, thank goodness). She’s been okay with her carer’s cats but can be full-on, however we can forgive that since she’s only a puppy.

Speaking of which, we always recommend puppy preschool for our young ones and Polly is no exception. She already responds to her name and we’ve mentioned she’s brainy and getting on well with other dogs, so puppy preschool will be a great way to continue her education and socialisation.

Please ensure the below information, including the ‘please note’ section, is read in full if you are interested in viewing, meeting or adopting Polly.

For the next 48 hours, a generous Tasmanian donor will MATCH every donation — dollar for dollar — up to $50,000. Please, dogs like Polly are relying on you.

Does your lifestyle and personality match Polly?
Full of life: Enthusiastic and lively, seeks stimulation and engagement, a social butterfly.

If you are interested in meeting or adopting Polly, please phone your local Dogs’ Home. Contact details for each of our locations can be found by clicking here.

As Polly is currently staying with a foster carer, they are not located on site and will not be present if you visit. This includes if you book a visit or meeting via our online booking system.  Polly will only be available to view or meet when prior arranged with our team over the phone.

Please note:
• Rental agreements allowing dogs will be required for adoption into rental properties.
• Before adopting a dog, all members of your household must attend a meet and greet with the dog (including small children and existing dogs).
• Whilst the website is live and updates frequently, there is a chance that when you arrive a dog may already have been adopted by some-one else. Sorry, but we cannot put dogs on hold over the phone. You need to meet them first so that we can ensure a suitable match.
• While our Homes are open, not every dog available for adoption will be onsite and available in person. You will notice some dogs are listed as ‘foster care’. This means that they are offsite with one of our amazing foster carers. If you are interested in this dog, please contact the Home directly to discuss suitability and a possible meet.
