Rhia

Rhia

Please note: Rhia is currently spending time in foster care which means that they will not be present when visiting your local Dogs’ Home.

Thinking about adopting an energetic young dog with model looks? Rhia is all ears.

She was a stray so we can only make edumacated guesses about her. We think she’s a Malinois x. “Rhia is friendly, loving and loves learning — she enjoys training and she is food motivated,” her foster carer says. “Rhia is an amazing puppy who needs lots of attention and training to realise her full potential.” Well said!

Rhia is not yet fully toilet trained. She has done well with some crate training in foster care. “She’s a high-energy pup and will need some training to keep four paws on the ground but she has done amazingly well in her foster home.” A beginner class would be the way to go for Rhia.

Please ensure the below information, including the ‘please note’ section, is read in full if you are interested in viewing, meeting or adopting Rhia.

For the next 48 hours, a generous Tasmanian donor will MATCH every donation — dollar for dollar — up to $50,000. Please, dogs like Rhia are relying on you.

Does your lifestyle and personality match Rhia?
Full of life: Enthusiastic and lively, seeks stimulation and engagement, a social butterfly.

If you are interested in meeting or adopting Rhia, please phone your local Dogs’ Home. Contact details for each of our locations can be found by clicking here.

As Rhia is currently staying with a foster carer, they are not located on site and will not be present if you visit. This includes if you book a visit or meeting via our online booking system.  Rhia will only be available to view or meet when prior arranged with our team over the phone.

Please note:
• Rental agreements allowing dogs will be required for adoption into rental properties.
• Before adopting a dog, all members of your household must attend a meet and greet with the dog (including small children and existing dogs).
• Whilst the website is live and updates frequently, there is a chance that when you arrive a dog may already have been adopted by some-one else. Sorry, but we cannot put dogs on hold over the phone. You need to meet them first so that we can ensure a suitable match.
• While our Homes are open, not every dog available for adoption will be onsite and available in person. You will notice some dogs are listed as ‘foster care’. This means that they are offsite with one of our amazing foster carers. If you are interested in this dog, please contact the Home directly to discuss suitability and a possible meet.
