Sweet Skye’s smile is enough to have your heart soaring to new heights.
We never reveal personal details about previous owners, but we can say Skye has had a lot of uncertainty in her life of late, and it’s nobody’s “fault”. As a result, we don’t know a lot about her past.
“Skye is sweet and loves attention and pats,” staff say. “She is a quiet, reserved girl who can be nervous around new people and new things — we suspect she has had very little socialisation.” We also think she might not have lived in inside or had much handling in her previous life.
“She is a calm girl and has had some basic training but she definitely prefers a calm environment,” staff say. “She is also carrying a little bit too much weight.” Skye’s family will have to resist her pleading eyes at mealtimes.
She is not suitable for a home with another dog, and she needs a family with young adults at least 16 years old. Skye’s coat will need regular brushing to keep it from becoming tangle-tastic.
Please ensure the below information, including the ‘please note’ section, is read in full if you are interested in viewing, meeting or adopting Skye.

Does your lifestyle and personality match Skye?
If you are interested in a dog, please make a booking to visit the Home where that dog is located. We can’t guarantee that a particular dog will still be available at the time of your visit, as adoptions occur throughout the day. Our team updates the website as quickly as possible.
Your booking is simply an allocated time to view all of the dogs, and it allows us to ensure staff are available should you wish to have a meet and greet with a particular dog.
Please remember that if you are interested in adopting on the day, all household members — including any existing dogs — must attend the appointment. It’s vital that the dog meets everyone and gets along with them, and that the whole household is ready to welcome a new family member.
Please note:
• Rental agreements allowing dogs will be required for adoption into rental properties.
• Before adopting a dog, all members of your household must attend a meet and greet with the dog (including small children and existing dogs).
• Whilst the website is live and updates frequently, there is a chance that when you arrive a dog may already have been adopted by some-one else. Sorry, but we cannot put dogs on hold over the phone. You need to meet them first so that we can ensure a suitable match.
• While our Homes are open, not every dog available for adoption will be onsite and available in person. You will notice some dogs are listed as ‘foster care’. This means that they are offsite with one of our amazing foster carers. If you are interested in this dog, please contact the Home directly to discuss suitability and a possible meet.
