Tucker

Tucker

Please note: Tucker is currently spending time in foster care which means that they will not be present when visiting your local Dogs’ Home.

Isn’t Tucker delightfully floofy? “He’s the perfect blend of a high-energy playmate and a gentle, soulful companion,” staff say, and those eyes certainly have plenty of soul.

He’s a Border Collie-Smithfield-Kelpie x who has been enjoying time in foster care with Bailey the Setter. “Tucker is very energetic and may enjoy having a doggie pal to run around the yard with.”

He’s an eager-to-please fellow who is described by his carer as “very loving and cuddly”: “He loves to cuddle on the couch and press into you. When my dog barks he walks to him like he’s saying ‘it’s okay’.” How cute!

As a mix of three working dog breeds, young Tucker will need plenty of exercise and intellectual stimulation, along with ongoing training to cement what he already knows. That floofy coat will need regular brushing.

Please ensure the below information, including the ‘please note’ section, is read in full if you are interested in viewing, meeting or adopting Tucker.

Does your lifestyle and personality match Tucker?
Full of life: Enthusiastic and lively, seeks stimulation and engagement, a social butterfly.

If you are interested in meeting or adopting Tucker, please phone your local Dogs’ Home. Contact details for each of our locations can be found by clicking here.

As Tucker is currently staying with a foster carer, they are not located on site and will not be present if you visit. This includes if you book a visit or meeting via our online booking system.  Tucker will only be available to view or meet when prior arranged with our team over the phone.

Please note:
• Rental agreements allowing dogs will be required for adoption into rental properties.
• Before adopting a dog, all members of your household must attend a meet and greet with the dog (including small children and existing dogs).
• Whilst the website is live and updates frequently, there is a chance that when you arrive a dog may already have been adopted by some-one else. Sorry, but we cannot put dogs on hold over the phone. You need to meet them first so that we can ensure a suitable match.
• While our Homes are open, not every dog available for adoption will be onsite and available in person. You will notice some dogs are listed as ‘foster care’. This means that they are offsite with one of our amazing foster carers. If you are interested in this dog, please contact the Home directly to discuss suitability and a possible meet.
