Only the hardest of hearts could resist dear little Violet’s puppy dog eyes.
This tiny trouper came to us with her back left leg broken in two places. “We were hoping to do surgery to repair her leg, but one break was through the growth plate and our vets had no choice but to recommend amputation,” staff say. “She has recovered so well and is a great little pup.” Hooray!
As always, we strongly recommend puppy preschool for Violet. It is an excellent way for youngsters to learn the “boot camp basics” of obedience while getting valuable socialisation with people and other pups. Knocking these two goals out of the park will put your dog on a path to becoming a well-behaved and well-adjusted adult.
Please ensure the below information, including the ‘please note’ section, is read in full if you are interested in viewing, meeting or adopting Violet.

Does your lifestyle and personality match Violet?
If you are interested in meeting or adopting Violet, please phone your local Dogs’ Home. Contact details for each of our locations can be found by clicking here.
As Violet is currently staying with a foster carer, they are not located on site and will not be present if you visit. This includes if you book a visit or meeting via our online booking system. Violet will only be available to view or meet when prior arranged with our team over the phone.
Please note:
• Rental agreements allowing dogs will be required for adoption into rental properties.
• Before adopting a dog, all members of your household must attend a meet and greet with the dog (including small children and existing dogs).
• Whilst the website is live and updates frequently, there is a chance that when you arrive a dog may already have been adopted by some-one else. Sorry, but we cannot put dogs on hold over the phone. You need to meet them first so that we can ensure a suitable match.
• While our Homes are open, not every dog available for adoption will be onsite and available in person. You will notice some dogs are listed as ‘foster care’. This means that they are offsite with one of our amazing foster carers. If you are interested in this dog, please contact the Home directly to discuss suitability and a possible meet.
