Happy Paws Happy Hearts joins Dogs’ Homes
Now taking enrolments – join us today!
We’re thrilled to announce an exciting new partnership, launching soon! This collaboration will create new opportunities for people and rescue dogs at the Hobart Dogs’ Home, helping both to thrive through meaningful interactions.
Through this program, participants will join weekly small group sessions where they learn about animal care, behaviour, and enrichment. As they socialise, train, and enrich our dogs, they also help them become more adoptable, giving each dog an even better chance at finding a loving home.
This new initiative at Dogs’ Homes of Tasmania will allow more locals to interact with our rescue dogs, providing them with the socialisation, training, and care they need while waiting for their forever homes.

The program welcomes people aged 12+ who are utilising NDIS or SLES funding supports or who choose to self-fund. Whether participants are looking to build skills, gain confidence, or simply connect with rescue dogs in a positive environment, this program provides a supportive space for personal growth and companionship.
Participants can: ✨ Build confidence ✨ Develop life skills ✨ Foster social connections ✨ Build independence
We are excited to expand the ways we support both people and dogs in Tasmania. By creating a space where individuals can learn, connect, and grow alongside our rescue dogs, we’re strengthening our community and helping more dogs find loving homes.
