The 26th August is International Dog Day and we wanted to help you celebrate with these tried and tested dog treat recipes! Our top 5 recipes, which include grain-free options, are sure to delight your fur-kids or dog loving friends. Well at least our rescue dogs think so, they love the mini tuna pupcakes and the Turmeric and veg cookies.
International Dog Day was first started in 2004 by animal advocate Colleen Paige. Since then dog-loving organizations and people across the globe have embraced the day and its mission – to recognise and celebrate all dogs! Dogs in need of rescue, much loved family dogs and let’s not forget working dogs who help to keep us safe, help with farm work, save our lives and support our mental health.
We hope you enjoy cooking up a storm with some of our rescue dogs’ favourite treats for International Dog Day. Don’t forget to share some pics of your dog treat cooking adventures on our Facebook or our Instagram page.
If so, why not recognise them with a virtual pupcake or toy to show your support – just click the image below to shop for a virtual gift and our dogs say THANK YOU SO MUCH!
