We currently have a number of dogs at our Launceston Home being treated for kennel cough. Kennel cough is a common respiratory illness in dogs and, like a cold in people, it can spread easily when dogs are in close proximity.

To help reduce the risk of further spread and allow our team to manage and treat the dogs already in our care, we have temporarily paused new intakes at this location while we establish alternative intake arrangements.

This is a precautionary step to protect the health of the dogs.

If you have a surrender, please take it to one of alternative homes. If you have an urgent situation and are unable to take the dog to one of our other homes, please contact us and speak with our team.

Our goal is always to ensure dogs who genuinely need help can still receive it.

We appreciate the community’s understanding while we manage this situation and continue caring for the dogs currently in our care.
