New Top Dog Set to Lead the Pack

The Dogs’ Homes of Tasmania (DHoT) has appointed a new Chief Executive Officer, Mark Wild.

Born and raised in Tasmania, Mark joins DHoT as a lover of dogs with a commitment to both people and animals.

With over 20 years of leadership experience in the commercial and not-for-profit sectors, Mark is a strong leader who focusses on supporting people to achieve great things.

“We are thrilled to have Mark Wild join us as our new CEO,” DHoT President Carol Hughes said. “Mark’s extensive experience and leadership skills will be instrumental in driving our strategic plan to enhance dog welfare, rescue, and rehoming services across Tasmania.”

“I’m incredibly excited to take on the role and provide leadership to realise our vision of always being here, for every dog in Tasmania that needs our help,” Mark said. He has previously held roles at Cancer Council Tasmania and Community Based Support.

“The entire DHoT team are all extremely passionate and are all fully committed to the vision of the organisation, so I am very much looking forward to building on the work of the previous CEO and the Board to ensure DHoT continues to provide the highest quality outcomes for the dogs of Tasmania,” said Mark.

“It is a privilege to take on the responsibility of leading the ‘DHoT pack’ in driving positive change and promoting responsible dog ownership across Tasmania.”
