The Rent with Pets program aims to increase awareness around the surrender of pets to shelters due to difficulty finding pet friendly rental. Rent with Pets is run by the Companion Animal Network Australia and supported by Dogs’ Homes of Tasmania
Dogs’ Homes accredited to adopt out muzzle free greyhounds!
The Office of Racing Integrity has accredited The Dogs’ Homes of Tasmania to assess greyhounds to meet the unmuzzling requirements under Dog Control Act 2000. Greyhounds will become available from our Homes in Devonport, Burnie, Launceston and Hobart.

Winter Appeal Campaign
Winter Appeal Campaign Launch. Dogs’ Homes of Tasmania is making an urgent appeal for donations this winter to help dogs in need across Tasmania. The Winter Appeal is being assisted by four AmbassaDogs.
Clarence City Council’s Draft Dog Management Policy
Under the Dog Control Act 2000, Councils are required to review their Dog Management Policy every five years. This is the Dogs’ Homes of Tasmania submission to the current review by the Clarence City Council.
